Here, we accompany an artist for a brief stretch along a path defined\u00adonly\u00adby\u00adtransience.\u00ad The exhibition \u00ad\u201cInstructions for Visiting Earth\u201d by Berlin-based painter BUS126 offers no station,\u00ad no\u00ad rest \u00adstop, \u00adnor \u00ad \u00ada moment \u00adof \u00adpause.\u00ad The\u00ad time\u00ad elapsed between the creation of these images and their viewing by the public has already carried his spirit \u2013 and thus his painting \u2013 far away from the present moment. Metaphorical descriptions \u2013 such as a raindrop drying on our skin or the rush of air from\u00ad a \u00adpassing \u00adtrain \u00adbriefly \u00adtousling \u00adour \u00adhair\u00ad\u2013\u00adseem \u00adto \u00adbetter capture this small segment of his work.<\/p>\n

Conversations leading up to this show left me with the impression that the line between passion and mania had been \u00adcrossed\u00ad long \u00adago.\u00ad The\u00ad moment\u00ad that\u00ad left the deepest mark on me was his description of how he must always immediately commit his thoughts to paper.
