I have had the pleasure of accompanying abcdef from the very beginning of his artistic career over 20 years ago to his current drawings on walls and paper. The perseverance and discipline with which he follows his path continually surprises me. He is serially creative and it appears that decisions can be made spontaneously, or perhaps dependant on the mood of the day, as to which line of painting to continue working on. Some of these series extend over dozens of murals or sketches. They are pursued for years, sometimes reconsidered, only to be revived with new approaches. That is why I do not consider many of his works as finished, but rather as studies and snapshots of his artistic evolution.<\/p>\n
